So says Spark Health CEO John Macaskill-Smith in announcing a new partnership between New Zealand's University of Waikato and Sparkone that could lead to an "immersive health technology and innovation hub" on the university's Hamilton campus, per Stuff.co.nz.
The two plan to work together to support the "development of a future-focused health workforce," says University of Waikato Pro Vice-Chancellor of Health Jo Lane in a press release.
"We're particularly interested in exploring the role technology could play in enhancing our students' learning, enabling health education in regional and rural communities," Lane says, noting Spark's digital health services provider, Spark Health, "is passionate about enabling the digitisation of our health sector and communities, supporting our health workforce of tomorrow, and prioritising exceptional patient experiences."
The two plan to work together to develop new graduate programs in pharmacy and midwifery, per Stuff.co.nz.
