Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation Revises Major Grant Program

credit:

For more than 30 years, the Delta Dental Arkansas Foundation has handed out hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the state's poor get access to dental care.

But starting in 2024, the foundation will be handing out rolling grants, instead of annual grants, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports.

"We made these changes in response to the needs we observed in the community," says Sharon Lanier, the foundation's executive director.

"More Arkansans will be able to have healthy smiles."

Last year, the foundation handed out 40,600 Community Grants to help people with toothaches, gum disease, and other dental issues, the Magnolia Reporter notes.

The new grants will be awarded on a quarterly basis, instead of every January as in the past.

Interested parties should check the foundation's website for details.
